There have been some changes to the lineup so I'm re-posting this. On May 20th at El Cid The Fold & The Ship Collective will host a solid lineup of bands in support of FYN STEC & L.A. Children's Hospital.
No L.A. dates yet? C'mon.BSS will be playing select shows throughout the summer period.
The latest to be confirmed is a July 8th show in Brooklyn, New York at Prospect Park. Tickets are $30.00 and will go on sale this Friday at noon. You can get them here.
Also confirmed today is their addition to the UK Reading and Leeds Festivals. These will take place within a late August festival tour of europe -- thus there will be more gig announcements in coming weeks.

I've been somewhat aware of Scarling.(that period is for real) for months and finally gave them some serious listening time. Not bad at all, kind of noisy and melodic. And although I don't dig flanger pedals they've got a solid guitar sound. Anyway, they're headlining the Troubadour next week and are playing with one of my faves Helen Stellar.

I used to be a big Unicorns fan, but Islands are so much better and just released a kick-ass record to show off their new skills. The band will have plenty of time to prove themselves as they start their North American tour tonight in Boston in support of their latest album Return to the Sea.

If you know what's good for you go to El Cid tonight to see a great L.A. pop band that doesn't sound like your typical L.A. pop band. The Little Ones have only played twice and they're tighter than your Dad's biking outfit. They'll be selling copies of their first release the Sing Song EP. It contains 6 banging tracks of catchy music, pick up an extra copy for Mother's Day. You can hear some fresh samples here.
April 25th will see the release of Secret Machines second LP, Ten Silver Drops. As always, with a new album comes many new dates. The band will also be doing Late Night with Conan O’Brien and the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson in the next couple weeks. They will also be doing two acoustic in-store appearances in New York and LA.
CD Release Parties: April 26 – Hiro Ballroom – New York, NY May 4 – El Rey Theatre – Los Angeles, CA ***Both CD-release shows will be unique in-the-round performances…
Tonight is really the last time you'll see The Lassie Foundation members appearing as "The Lassie Foundation". After several lineup changes in the past 8 years or longer, and a handful of stunning records, the band will perform their final show tonight at the Silverlake Lounge at 9:00 pm sharp! Expect many new projects from current Lassies. We'll miss you.
Those crazy Dim Mak peeps are taking their party to Long Beach to fill the void left by All Tomorrow's Parties. Good, Long Beach needs something more like this, especially with the recent lineups of great bands at the always-crowded Prospector. The Neighborhood Musicfest features a grip of L.A. bands, with more to be announced in the coming weeks. The event takes place Saturday, May 20th at the Queen Mary Events Park.
current lineup: Moving Units, Ima Robot, Whirlwind Heat, Idiot Pilot, Mickey Avalon, Rolling Blackouts, Cold War Kids, Mika Miko, 8 Bit, Sexytime Explosion, DJ Steve Aoki (Kid Millionaire).
